Welcome to Foodshare - where hunger is not an option!

Our registered charity has a simple goal: to help individuals and families in Maidenhead and its surrounding areas who are facing food insecurity due to a range of challenges.

We believe that everyone should have access to nutritious food regardless of their background or circumstances.

Supporting Our Community

Welcome to Foodshare, formerly known as Open Kitchen. Our organisation has a simple mission: to feed those who are hungry and in need of support. We began in 2011 with the goal of serving the homeless in our community but soon realised that there were many more people in need of help.

The charity's first encounter was with a mother and her two children, she was skipping meals just so her children could eat something. This made us realise that hunger knows no bounds. At the time, food banks were not yet widely available, so the charity stepped in with limited resources to support up to five families every week. Since then, the charity has grown significantly, and we're proud to now offer food support to around 450 people each week.

However, there is still much more work to be done, and we're continuously striving to reach even more people in need. At Foodshare, we believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we're committed to making that a reality. On our website, you can learn more about our mission, our history, and how you can support our cause. We offer various donation options, and every donation you give will make a difference in someone's life. We also have a volunteer program that allows you to contribute your time and skills to help with our food distribution efforts. Whether you can spare a couple of hours a week or a month, we welcome your support in making a positive impact in our community.

Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you'll join us in some way in our fight against hunger.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
